NitroVoX is an a cappella group that tell stories about the African diaspora through spoken word and song.

We come from diverse arts backgrounds: music theatre, drama, opera and gospel. The makeup and fluidity of our group is entirely dependent upon the projects we create or take part in.

We are actors who sing and singers who act and this is how we tell the stories that are at the core of our work.

Created by Felix Cross, we began as part of the music theatre group NITRO contributing musically to several of their theatre productions including African Cargo, An Evening of Soul Food and Desert Boy. As NitroVoX we have performed in a number of productions including Fisk Jubilee Singers - BBC Radio 4, To Kill a Mockingbird - Bath Literature Festival, Maya Angelou Celebration - London Literature Festival, Royal Festival Hall, as well as several presentations of Mass Carib, a signature work by
Felix Cross.

We have performed in traditional concert hall venues: Royal Festival Hall, Hackney Empire and Kings Place and in unusual settings such as the grounds of the Royal Naval College in Greenwich, Lambeth Palace and Trafalgar Square. All have inspired and informed our performance.
